Worse experience online and C/S relations thereafter

I have purchased for the first time from Y. R. online on May 8,2022. After clicking on "pay" to finalize the cart's transaction/ purchase, I realized I was NOT getting the free shipping that the promotion was supposed to give off my grand total since it was for over $30. I called C/S immediately, and the representative assured me that the only way to correct that error was for her to cancel my online order and to redo it herself. My grand total became $38.97 instead of my $47.58 in the cart. I made sure several times that she did cancel the online order I had made, and she confirmed that she did. ONLY she did not, and I ended up being charged for both orders on my visa, but yet ONLY RECEIVED THE ORDER SHE PLACED FOR ME ON THE PHONE. After numerous complaints BY phone and emails, to this day I am going no where with them and cannot get my $47.58 credit back on my visa, in SPITE OF NOT HAVING RECEIVED 2 orders, since mine was supposed to have been canceled immediately and replaced by hers to get free shipping. This company is NOT to be trusted, they have NO customer service or billing complaints department you can be transferred to, nor can you be transferred to a manager; it is a disastrous online experience, and their customer relations totally stinks being non-existent! I will not let this go and I want my $47.58 back on my visa since I have NOT received but only ONE ORDER, and which is precisely what I intended to have placed to begin with on May 8. I advise anyone who is trying to purchase anything from Yves Rocher to either through Amazon if you like their products, OR NOT AT ALL. The headaches they put me through since May is totally unacceptable, unprofessional, NOT WORTH IT, and right down shows "shady" behavior from Yves Rocher's business practices. By the way, Derma E, USA brand, is also very good and available in many many stores. I am not impressed nor satisfied with the 2 products I did purchase. So this billing nightmare with Yves Rocher is totally a waste of my time and making me a VERY unhappy customer.

Unreliable

My orders never got delivered. I tried reaching the company many times via email and telephone there was no response. Its a total scam! Beware!

Consistantly Excellent Quality European Beauty Products

I have used Yves Rocher products since their introduction to the US in the late 1980's and will continue to buy from them as long as they are available for purchase here in Noth America.
I have always adored their magnificent fragrances in their highly collectible bottles and have found most of their skin and makeup formulations to be the equal to if not better than their US drug store and even department store competitors.
Their fantastic shower gel varieties are my daily go to brand, and despite living for 12 + years in the harshest and driest region of the US (i. E., mountainous Colorado), my skin is almost always soft and supple, and I rarely have to rely on daily body lotions as most Rocky Mountain residents must.
I have had few if any issues with their customer service over 30+ years of ordering by mail, phone and through the internet. My orders have arrived, promptly and wholly intact with no damage or missing items.
The prices are quite reasonable for French made cosmetics that often end up being true bargains during seasonal clearance sales.
YR offers great monthly sales and very nice exclusive free gifts, such as bags, jewelry sets, scarves, robes, mugs, throws, and other household, and personal items. The offers as well as GWPs vary between mail order and internet promotions. (Depending on pricing and incentives, I sometimes purchase from both, one or neither.)
Among my own favorite scents are the vintage Clea, Venice, and Vie Privee as well as the recently discontinued Collection Secrets D'essences line.
I have long treasured their beautiful palette compacts which they sadly seem to no longer sell in North America, I would assume, due to lower demand.
As for vintage Bath products, I miss les Jardins du Monde selections. As for Cosmetics, the vintage Clea and Vie Privee makeup eyeshadows, nail polishes, liquid foundations etc. were elegantly presented and luxuriously formulated and therefore are long lamented.
The present lines are more in keeping with the current green movement of recyclable and minimalistic beauty products. So more practical and less wasteful packaging has been implemented but this does not affect the overall quality, which in my opinion, still remains high and hard to beat.

ONLINE store is horrible!

Let me start by saying that I really like some of Yves Rocher's products - for instance, I love the fragrance of their body washes, which is unique and wonderful. BUT shopping online with them is a NIGHTMARE! (1) Their website is riddled with various annoying glitches - such as, for instance, a promo code that you've put in suddenly disappearing as you proceed through the checkout process so that you have to go back and restart the check out. (2) When entering your address, you are forced you to choose a title, but the options for women are limited to MISS and MRS There is no choice of MS (or DR). This is shameful in this day and age and leaves married women who have not adopted their husband's last name or those who don't want to be defied by their martial status without an appropriate option. (3) In their emails, the company promises to provide shipment tracking, but every single link they make available leads to some useless page so that you NEVER get the promised info. (4) They charge you for your purchase BEFORE shipping your items. At the same time, their shipping speed can be abysmal (e.g. My latest order was made on Jan. 3rd and only on the 11th did I receive an update that it was ready to be shipped and should arrive within the next 2 weeks). Bottom line, if it cares about its customers, Yves Rocher needs to seriously improve its online presence, which is quite dreadful at the moment.

This company is headed toward extinction if they keep up with their poor Customer Service plus the decline of their product. I'm not shopping there again. If I could have rated them -, I would have.

Order

I made my first order and after 2 weeks product didn't arrived, I called customer service they told me since the order was made online they cannot do any changes, I also ask them when I will get it and they told me they don't know since FedEx has the package, so I will rate my experience with 0 star since they are helpless and I will not order from this mediocre company again.

Products which I use daily

For several years I have been using products of this French brand, especially I love to buy different new products and of course have some of them which are completely my must-have. When buying some products shop assistant always give various testers and you can try some of them and understand whether it is suitable for you or not. I really love their shampoos, mostly all of them are good for my hair and make my hair more volume and smooth. Shower gels are my continuous love, all of them have so nice fragrances that it stays for hours on your skin after showering, but at the same time, the aromas are not annoying ones.

Allergic reaction and bad customer service

All of their products irritates my skin. Customer service doesn't stand about their products. They don't care if you end up as a clown.
I left an honest review on their website for a product that gave me a very bad allergic reaction but they didn't approve it. They didn't even care about my allergic reaction to the product or giving me a refund.

Yves Rocher Online Orders

Once an order has been placed online, you cannot make any changes, edit, or cancel it. I have never experienced such unprofessional treatment as when contacting Yves Rocher Customer Service aka Call Centre. Is rudeness a requirement of the job desription? Their unwiilingness to assist in resolving an issue when ordering online is very frustrating and stressful.

Repair hair oil disaster

I have used the repair hair oil on a washed wet hair, as it was written in the instructions for use that you can use the product like that. After drying my hair it was looking awefully oily and disgusting like unwashed for weeks. I had to wash my hair again to clear up thay oily look.
Totally disappointed.
Please use your products first before writing instructions of use as you will find out you cannot use this product on a washed hair.

Unfortunately, we are now into 2019 and Yves Rocher's product quality has seriously declined. I question their use of the words "natural" and "botanical". Perfumes don't last for more than 10 minutes. Their shipping and packing is now shameful; I have received more missing or damaged products than I care to mention. They have no customer service now for online purchases. They either totally ignore you or they never offer to make things right. They should not be allowed to sell here in the U.S. in my opinion.
